Sodexo has an excellent opportunity for an experienced Executive Chef 2 for MetroSouth Medical Center in Blue Island, IL . This position will be the lead culinary support for retail food service, At Your Request (AYR) patient meal service and catered events. The ideal candidate for this position will have strong culinary skills, experience with food production, ordering and inventory and controlling food and labor costs. The Executive Chef will manage a team of 30 union employees. Previous experience with cash handling is preferred.

Provides culinary leadership within a small sized unit including menu planning, program execution and staff management & training. Works directly with internal and external clients managing the catering process from beginning through execution

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 2 years

Basic Functional Experience – 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
