The Product Strategy and Business Development Manager within the Strategy team in Verizon Connect represents a key opportunity to identify and develop compelling strategies and solutions leveraging Verizon’s strategic assets including Network, Oath Media Assets, VZ Connect Platforms and Data Analytics to reach customers in new ways. The positon offers the ability to initiate and guide the development of new products to drive new revenue opportunities leveraging cutting edge technologies.

Product Strategy and Business Development Manager will do the following:

  • Lead the development of business and product strategies for Verizon Connect that leverage Verizon’s Oath content and media assets

  • Identify and validate target industry segments and build industry-specific use cases

  • Develop understanding of applicable Verizon cross-company teams for integration with business and product strategies we develop.

  • Work closely with their strategy, business development and product teams across Oath’s Super Channels to identify strategic integrations to Verizon Connect.

  • Manage strategic Verizon Connect customer opportunities, including OEM, to incorporate Verizon media assets, content delivery and platforms into Verizon Connect products.

  • Provide input on new use cases and prioritize use cases based on strategic importance.

  • Evaluate new solutions and platforms for our strategic roadmap.

  • Complete financial analysis and comprehensive business cases for strategies analyzed.

  • Engage Verizon Connect teams to help evaluate potential new use cases and portfolio expansion.

  • Develop and validate new solutions requirements.

  • Build strategic internal and external partnerships to advance product development efforts.

  • Identify, acquire and support early adopters.

  • Support executive leadership with strategy and business development presentations.

  • Support the development and implementation of market segmentation strategies.

  • Participate in channel development strategies to build alterative paths to market.

  • Remain current on in-vehicle technologies and digital media market trends.

  • Provide guidance for relevant responses to RFI/RFP/RFQs.

What we’re looking for...

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum five years Strategy Development and/or Business Development experience with knowledge of media solutions and platforms.

  • Ability to analyze industry trends, perform high-level business and technology assessments, determine implications to Verizon Connect, and develop near/long-term strategic position for the business.

  • Ability to collaborate to provide business and technical leadership in a multi-departmental, as well as external partnership, environment.

  • Ability to work effectively across the business (marketing, product, finance, legal, offer development and other teams), understand business, customer and partner needs, identify requirements to fill those needs and build a strategy to address those needs.

  • Financial management skills needed for forecasting, pricing, margin analysis and opportunity validation.

  • Knowledge and skills needed to successfully manage client engagements and make related decisions that accomplish strategic objectives.

  • Presentation development and delivery and quantitative and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of media solutions and content delivery platforms.

  • Knowledge of various transportation related industries.

  • Prior experience delivering complex solutions.

  • Ability to travel domestically less than 25% of the time.
