Verizon Lean Six Sigma Manager in Basking Ridge, New Jersey
What you’ll be doing...
This Verizon Lean Six Sigma (VLSS) Manager will support Lean Six Sigma capability building through training development, and delivery. You will drive Lean Six Sigma awareness, mindset, and capability and evangelize adoption across the enterprise with goals to improve business outcomes while creating a highly collaborative, learning organization.
Teaching all levels of VLSS candidates in all modules of the Lean Six Sigma curriculum and other related training as required.
Travelling up to 40% of the time to deliver training.
Preparing or participating in the preparation and maintenance of training materials and other relevant collateral.
Providing one-on-one coaching to learners pursuing VLSS certification.
Providing one-on-one coaching to Master Black Belts and Black Belts pursuing VLSS certification.
Providing ad hoc coaching to Green Belts pursuing VLSS certification.
Translating strategies into objectives, metrics and initiatives.
Understanding Strategy process(es) including Strategy formulation and Strategy ‘pressure testing.’
Providing guidance as a resource to teams implementing Lean Six Sigma projects that will provide business benefits resulting in significant business improvement as required.
Providing support in problem solving efforts on key projects to improve revenue, market penetration, quality, reduce cost and improve cycle time, and improving income as required.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Experience in the implementation and teaching of Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally for training delivery.
Even better if you have:
A Master’s degree.
Excellent training and presentation skills with solid communication capabilities, both oral and written.
Understanding of Design Thinking and Agile concepts, practices and tools, and the capability of articulating the fusion of such practices to drive superior business outcomes.
Passion for Improvement Methodologies as a strategically critical business philosophy.
