Actively Seeking a Back-End Developer in Chantilly, Virginia!
Work you ll do
Our mid level Back-End Developer will have least 4-6 years of experience in designing and developing backend applications using open source databases such as Postgres or Maria DB for a Cyber Threat Intelligence platform while possessing the ability to support the responsibilities and core functions below.
Additional Responsibilities encompass:
Building and maintaining web-based applications.
New development, enhancements, and maintenance in Java/J2EE (JMS, EJB, andServlets) with extensive knowledge of design patterns.
The design, coding, and testing of Java based applications and the design and implementation of web-based applications.
(Primary development: Java, XML, XSLT, Servlets, Spring, Tiles, DOM, XML Object JSTL, JSP, MVC2/Struts, stored procedures, triggers and views and Oracle PL/SQL.)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, coupled with good customer relationship skills.
U.S. Citizenship is required as is an active Top Secret Security Clearance
Our Systems Engineering team delivers large-scale software applications and integrated systems, and assists clients with architecture design, assessment and optimization, and definition. We develop service-oriented architecture (SOA) and other integration solutions to enable information sharing and management between business partners and disparate processes and systems, and we deliver technology enablement to support CIO services transformation.
Systems Engineering professionals focus on key client issues that impact the core business by maximizing operational value, driving down the cost of quality, and enhancing technology innovation. Our teams deliver a wide range of services, including application architecture design and optimization, application modernization, business process management and solution integration, custom application design and development, and large-scale technology delivery program efforts.
Four (4) to six (6) years of experience developing user interfaces.
Experience in designing and developing backend applications using open source databases such as Postgres or Maria DB, coupled with programming experience in Java, Python, Bash Scripting.
Experience designing and maintaining a database for an Enterprise Network.
Experience in encrypting data in transit and at rest.
Experience in Relational databases as well as NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch.
Experience querying database using shell clients as well as ORM programming-based queries.
Experience with REST API development.
Experience using REST APIs for data integrations with external systems.
Knowledge of asynchronous messaging services for real time chat (such as RocketChat or Slack)
Experience managing database backups, migrations, and data conversions.
Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) for software development.
Experience implementing utilizing Single Sign-On Authentication using LDAP, SAML, Token Based Authentication.
DevOps Linux experience, configuring automated builds, tests, and deployments Maven, Gradle, Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
