Financial and Accounting Analyst

Key Role:

Support federal Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness (FIAR) activities to achieve client objectives. Apply knowledge of financial management, accounting, or audit principles in a wide variety of review and analyses of business processes, systems, internal controls, and transactions impacting financial statements. Work in a collaborative team environment and interact with teams and client leadership on a regular basis to accomplish project objectives. Assist with the integration of audit readiness activities into the Integrated Personnel and Pay System - Army (IPPS-A) currently under development.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with performing financial statement audits

-Knowledge of OMB A-123, GAAP, GAAS, DODFMR, and similar accounting principles

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-3 years of experience with GFEBS

-Experience with the DoD or Department of Army preferred

-Experience with supporting federal financial management, accounting, or audit functions

-Ability to adapt to excel in the culture with a high degree of ambiguity

-Possession of excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-MA, MS, or MBA degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management preferred

-Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) Certification or Certified Defense Financial Manager (CDFM)

-Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Certification
