Software Quality Engineer

Key Role:

Perform a variety of highly complex tasks related to the specialized inspection and testing of project output, including hardware or software to ensure that quality standards are met. Develop new or refine existing processes related to quality control, project failure identification, and design standards verification. Review project development documentation to ensure specifications are designed to meet inspection and testing standards. Initiate corrective action for procedural, product, or process deficiencies. Review and evaluate software products and services for adherence to government directives, standards, and guidelines related to software quality assurance. Make recommendations regarding the purchase of new software and provide work leadership for junior employees.

Basic Qualifications:

-8+ years of experience with government software development

-Experience with quality assurance and testing

-Experience with reviewing and evaluating software products and services

-Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Knowledge of different quality systems and standards and techniques, including CMMI, ISO, Six Sigma, and IEEE.

-Ability to provide leadership to junior employees

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-Possession of excellent analytical and time management skills

-Top Secret clearance preferred

-BS degree in EE or CS preferred; MA or MS degree a plus
