Cybersecurity Engineer, Senior

Key Role:

Lead the interpretation of higher-level policy, coordinate exceptions to policy with higher headquarters, as needed, identify IA requirements for major systems in acquisition or development to comply with published Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and policies, and analyze the requirements development and design process. Provide leadership to portions of Army vulnerability management and certification and accreditation (C&A) processes, including analyzing, reviewing, or verifying plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms), evaluating the overall risk posed by vulnerabilities to Army missions, networks, and data, and make recommendations. Lead C&A activities within established timelines, recommend courses of action for program managers and system owners to ensure compliance DoD and Army orders and policies, and maintain an acceptable level of risk. Support the development of Cybersecurity education, training, and awareness to client personnel, as required. This position is located in Aberdeen, MD.

Basic Qualifications:

-5+ years of experience with IA or Cybersecurity

-5+ years of experience with DIACAP and RMF accreditation

-Experience with eMASS, ACAS, Security Center, Nessus, and HBSS

-Experience with waivers, POAM, or the preparation of Exceptions to Policy

-Knowledge of DoD 8510.01, DoDI 8500.01, AR 25-2, AR 380-5, AR 380-40, FIPS, and DoD and IA and Cybersecurity policies

-Secret clearance required

-HS diploma or GED

-DoD 8570 Security Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with DIACAP and RMF in the Army a plus

-Possession of excellent customer service and organization skills

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in Information Security, EE, Information Systems, or CS
