Operations Research Analyst

Key Role:

Provide direct support to USSTRATCOM and AFLCMC or HBC in the identification and development of mission requirements and capabilities, examine the operational risks associated with capability gaps and redundancies, and review possible solutions and implementation timelines to support programmatic and milestone decisions. Maintain visibility on requirements, resources, and capabilities to assess whether proposed solutions contribute to delivering mission capabilities. Communicate warfighter organization positions and requirements clarifications. Work directly with senior level personnel, combatant command, and service representatives to comprehend and anticipate the requirements and needs of the personnel and organization involved. Work closely with combatant command and program office operations support personnel. Participate in joint capability development and integration system (JCIDS) and Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) efforts to mitigate any identified capability gaps. Develop and analyze alternatives and prepare recommendations for senior level officials in a high stress environment.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience in nuclear policy, strategy, forces, and infrastructure

-2+ years of experience in the military with COCOM processes and procedures

-Knowledge of USSTRATCOM global operations

-Knowledge of requirements development process

-Top Secret clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the analysis and documentation of military war plans

-Ability to build relationships with staff and clients

-Possession of excellent analytical skills

-TS/SCI clearance preferred
