Nuclear Materials All-Source Analyst

Key Role:Provide all-source intelligence on counter-proliferation (CP) or counter weapons in support of the United States Pacific Command (USPACOM). Maintain responsibility for the research, interpretation, analysis, production, dissemination, and assessment of all-source intelligence products regarding foreign nuclear fuel cycle threats. Apply sound and documented analytical approaches to problems and situations for which data is incomplete, controversial, or for which no precedent exists. Monitor threat situations and produce intelligence products to inform the Commander, staff, and deployed forces of plans or strategies and ensure a timely response to current and future issues. Read and summarize intelligence reports, analyze collective estimates and interagency products and processes, maintain and update databases, identify intelligence gaps, respond to ad hoc information requests, and track all tasks and ad hoc products to completion. Advise and brief senior leadership on critical political and military capabilities issues pertaining to leadership values, threat perceptions, and decision-making methods. Identify and maintain liaison with the counterpart specialist throughout the military services, theater commands, and intelligence community (IC) to exploit all sources of information.

Basic Qualifications:-4+ years of experience with providing intelligence research, including analysis on nuclear sites, nuclear fuel cycles, and the weaponization of nuclear fuels or materials-Experience with the nuclear fuel cycle, including fuels and facilities-Experience with researching or visiting nuclear facilities-Experience with official training in nuclear fuels or cycles, including how a heavy water reactor works and how a centrifuge works-Experience with analyzing the nuclear fuel life cycle to identify indicators and fuses in all-source reporting-Experience with authoring or contributing to studies that draw conclusions about the maturity of a foreign nuclear fuel or weapons program-Experience with Microsoft Office and computer tools common to the IC, including M3, Analyst Notebook, and Palantir-TS/SCI clearance-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience in the Asia-Pacific region

-Possession of excellent analytical and briefing skills

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph preferred

-MA or MS degree

-Small Scale Reprocessing, Counter-Proliferation Planning and Analysis System (CAPS), and Nuclear Fuel Operations Courses preferred

Clearance:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; TS/SCI clearance is required.
