Maritime Weapons Program Analyst, Senior

Key Role:

Provide analytic and management support to the Navy's surface ship weapons program to ensure current and future weapons meet DoD capability and interoperability requirements. Assist with producing executive level briefings, information papers, and presentations for senior DoD leaders to inform critical decisions on Navy investment strategies and major acquisition milestones. Coordinate with resource sponsors, program offices, and other stakeholders to assess surface ship weapons inventory levels, requirements, capabilities, acquisition strategies, and programming proposals for alignment with CNO strategic guidance. Assist with tracking and assessing impacts and risks of program or system changes and new technologies on resource plans and requirements. Support the development of surface ship weapons Program Objective Memorandum (POM) proposals and track progress of issues throughout the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) cycle.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience in working with defense systems or programs

-Experience with Navy Anti-Air Warfare (AAW) operations, Standard Missile employment, AEGIS weapon system, and AAW Command and Control (C2)

-Experience with PPBE and JCIDS requirements generation process

-Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

-Knowledge of surface ship weapons systems, employment concepts, and other key Navy programs or systems currently in service and under development

-Knowledge of Standard Missile component programs, including interfaces with the AEGIS Weapon System

-Active TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with Navy staff as military, civilian, or contractor in Joint Staff, OPNAV, or Navy SYSCOMs

-Experience with using Navy financial systems, including PBIS

-Knowledge of key Navy programs and systems currently in service and under development

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills to prepare reports and present briefings

-Possession of excellent interpersonal skills
