Java Developer, Mid

Key Role:Provide development, operations and sustainment, and requirements management for a custom Web application, including populating, editing, and updating, as necessary. Apply Java and database experience to improve Web application code and contribute new features. Leverage software development best practices to enhance and update custom Web application features into a seamless and efficient system where users can input, manipulate, and analyze mission-critical data to better comprehend organizational capabilities and mission readiness. Maintain and adhere to system requirements documentation, integrated change management, and implementation schedules. Provide system and subject matter expertise and management for custom Web application, including, periodic Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) validation, IT disaster recovery planning, Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) requirements tracking, and system documentation and training.

Basic Qualifications:

-2+ years of experience with the Java programming language in an Agile environment

-2+ years of experience with relational database technologies, including database administration tools and writing Standard Query Language (SQL) queries

-Knowledge of Java libraries, including Hibernate and Spring Framework

-Knowledge of Apache Tomcat, HMTL, and CSS

-Ability to develop Web pages using JavaScript and libraries, including jQuery, JavaServer Pages (JSP), and JSON

-Ability to obtain a security clearance

-BA or BS degree

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with using Eclipse IDE, Subversion, including code repository, and JIRA, including issue tracking software

-Active Secret clearance
