Cyber Incident Handler

Key Role:

Support DoD Cyber security operations by coordinating defensive Cyberspace operations during critical and high–tempo operations in accordance with established policies and best practices. Monitor, analyze, and detect Cyber events and incidents within information systems and networks under limited supervision. Consult on integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cybersecurity solutions to administer Cybersecurity operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events, data spillage, and incident response actions. Participate in testing, deploying, and administering the infrastructure hardware and software required to effectively manage the organization’s Cybersecurity operational services, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience with network security

-Experience with event escalation and reporting procedures and supporting network investigations

-Knowledge of TCP/IP communications and how common protocols and applications work at the network level

-Knowledge of network monitoring, analysis, troubleshooting, and configuration control technologies

-Ability to learn and operate in a dynamic environment

-Ability to demonstrate analytical expertise, strict attention to detail, critical thinking, logic, and solution orientation and to learn and adapt quickly-Active Secret clearance

-Security+ CE and CEH or GCIH Certification

Additional Qualifications:

-Experience with working in a 24/7 SOC environment

-Experience in managing cases with enterprise SIEM and logging systems

-Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills-TS/SCI clearance preferred

-BA or BS degree in Engineering, CS, Information Security, or Information Systems

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
