Counterthreat Planner, Mid

Key Role:

Provide detailed planning support across the full range of counterterrorism (CT) requirements associated with the command's CT planning and operational efforts. Serve as a liaison and coordinating force to organize, focus, and synchronize the command's CT planning efforts and assist with facilitating and supporting command efforts to develop and produce supporting plans. Provide subject matter expertise and knowledge of national and DoD CCMDs CT plans and objectives. Facilitate and support courses of action and concepts of operation development and provide strategic and operational linkages to concept development and implementation. Synchronize CT special programs and policy and facilitate and coordinate the development of CT talking points and written narratives for key leader engagements. Deliver the analytical rigor and draft proposals which allow the command to evaluate appropriate response options to DoD leadership and participate with various partners in activities that enhance CT subject matter expertise. Facilitate and coordinate on CT prioritization documents and presentations, advise on executive-level updates to senior leaders, and provide weekly input to talking points and executive summaries.

Basic Qualifications:

-10 years of experience with operations and planning, with at least 5 years of experience in sensitive activity and special warfare as a former military officer

-5 years of experience with working in or with an interagency team environment and in strategic planning, intelligence methods, and program management that demonstrate knowledge of management and oversight of SA operations

-5 years of experience in SA policy, planning, coordination, and synchronization support to the Theater Command or GCC SA planning and operations

-5 years of experience in working with FO, GO, or SES level officials

-3 years of experience with the conduct of assessments and the quantifying of performance and effectiveness measures

-2 years of experience with comprehending DoD and USG IA plans, policies, and planning processes and subsequent development of operations, actions, and activities that operationalize campaign objectives

-2 years of experience in compartmentalized planning supporting military forces and USG IA

-TS/SCI clearance

-HS diploma or GED
