The opportunity

Your key responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to tackle our clients’ most challenging problems including enabling a digital customer experience, process improvement in sales/service, and more. You will be ingrained in the client’s team and responsible for building trusted client relationships. You will also lead teams of Performance Improvement consultants (potentially cross-functional teams). Within these teams, you will be responsible for coaching, mentoring and managing team members while collaborating with senior leadership to surpass client expectations. You will lead the operational aspects of projects including developing project plans and SOWs, managing project delivery/economics and developing risk/issue mitigation strategies. You will be challenged to identify additional business development opportunities and help lead pursuit development. To be successful, strong communication (downward and upwards) skills and a proactive, curious and enthusiastic nature is key.

  • Collaborating, leading, mentoring and coaching team members as well as delegating relevant responsibilities to Performance Improvement team colleagues of varying levels

  • Building strong external relationships and promoting business opportunities across EY’s services

  • Anticipating client needs and proactively providing compelling strategic insights by constantly updating and sharing your Media & Entertainment industry knowledge on the latest trends and leading practices

  • Excellent communication, executive presence and influencing skills

  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced and demanding environment

  • Responding to complex issues in a wide range of subjects including digital transformation, process improvement in sales and service delivery (billing, order management), service assurance (customer care, revenue assurance), and business architecture

  • Ability and comfort level researching client inquiries and emerging issues, including regulations, industry practices, and new technologies.

To qualify for the role you must have

  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field

  • 3 or more years in providing advisory services to clients

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage a team, manage engagement economics and drive business development

  • Significant background in the Media & Entertainment and Telecom industry including cable and satellite distributors, telecom, broadcast and cable networks, advertising and measurement, film, TV and gaming, publishing and information services, sports/theme parks/live events and digital and technology

  • Experience in product management and agile development (product owner, scrum master), and business architecture

  • Experience in program and project management

  • Willingness and ability to travel both nationally and internationally to meet client needs

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • A bachelor’s degree in Strategy/Management/Marketing/Finance and/or an MBA

  • A background in consulting with major or major-mid consulting companies

  • Located in Philadelphia, NE region (New York to DC), Denver, or Atlanta
