Currently we are seeking candidates for the position:

Java Developer

EY is building one of the biggest Agile teams in Europe to transform the insurance business of tomorrow. Be part of something massive.

We are looking for Java developers in Wroclaw and Warsaw to help us change the insurance market.You will have the chance to get to know the insurance business and work delivering Guidewire technologies to our clients, who are spread all over Europe (if you like traveling, this role is definitely for you). You will work directly with our clients and go through extensive Guidewire training, learning how to code in Gosu (Java based language), as well as get a Guidewire certification.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Java Developer/ Software Engineer in the IT Advisory Services to contribute in various streams of Guidewire implementation projects

  • Design, implement and test code to deliver business solutions

Qualifications:

Skills and attributes for success:

  • Java/J2EE experience 3-5 years

  • Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented principles

  • Experience with XML and SQL

  • Experience with Continuous Delivery

  • Knowledge of Clean Code

  • Good English Language verbal and written communication

  • German or other European language will be an advantage

  • Sense of humor

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Experience in Insurance domain

  • Experience in Agile development lifecycle

  • Knowledge of functional programming

  • Knowledge of Spring Framework

  • Knowledge of ORM (like Hibernate)

  • Knowledge of Polish language
