The Wells Fargo Technology, Data, and Operations Risk Management (TDO RM) team is responsible for driving the execution and comprehensive view of risk across Enterprise Information Technology (EIT), Enterprise Data and Analytics (EDA), and Operations by instilling a risk management culture where businesses are accountable for understanding and managing their risk. TDO RM is organized around shared and divisional responsibilities to provide first-line-of-defense risk management support to drive the execution of the EIT, EDA, and Operations Risk Management Program for our partners, both domestic and international.

/We have an exciting Senior/ /Operational Risk Consultant opportunity to build, mature and execute first line of defense practices, provide subject matter expertise over key risk areas, manage Issues Management and resolution processes, and support execution of the Risk Management framework and programs within an EIT business division./

This role is an excellent opportunity to support and manage a key Technology Risk management function for an EIT division and promote a proactive, effective, and collaborative operational risk management environment. The selected individual will work with leaders in EIT and business stakeholders to understand the business and technology functions, processes, risks, and relevant inter-dependencies, to develop and manage a corresponding risk profile for the EIT division. A strong, extensive Risk Management and Technical background, professional experience, and excellent communication skills are required.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

As part of the First Line of Defense, this role provides leadership support to ensure that Enterprise Technology Services is accountable for risks associated with its activities, current and emerging risk identification, measurement, assessment, control, mitigation, monitoring and reporting.

Responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading efforts to effectively identify risks, partner to develop remediation approaches and controls, ensure remediation plans are executed and validated,

  • Representing EIT division on risk matters requiring review and ensuring all risk management deliverables are met accurately and timely,

  • Providing risk management leadership to mature technology processes, and provide input to the risk reporting for the group,

  • Working across the EIT groups to address emerging and existing risks in the environment impacting ETS,

  • Support a governance framework to provide transparency, accountability, and escalation of risk management related matters,

  • Partnering with Second and third line of defense.

Potential Locations- Chicago, IL, Phoenix, AZ; Minneapolis, MN; Charlotte, NC; Winston-Salem, NC. Other locations will be considered for qualified candidate.

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 10+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 5+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of both

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Program management experience

  • Experience communicating with business partners and project managers

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, LiveMeeting and SharePoint) skills

  • Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Information Systems Auditor, (CISA) Certification in Control Self-Assessment (CCSA), Certified Information Systems Security Professional, (CISSP) or other risk management discipline certification

  • Experience communicating in both written and verbal formats with senior executive-level leaders

  • Good analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
