Provide superb customer service andhave well-developed written and communication skills in order to answerincoming customer calls, communicate with customers on urgent requests, andcommunicate with medical/nursing staff to obtain/provide key information whileensuring that adequate research and follow up occurs

Be responsible for accurate data entry,understanding basic pharmacology, abbreviations, brand and generic comparisonsin order to accurately enter, interpret prescriptions for filling andcontinually using excellent math skills, detail orientation and analytic skills

Work in a fast-paced environment andmeet deadlines with flexibility while preparing and processing medicationsthrough actions that may entail prepacking bulk medicines, filling bottles withprescribed medications, mixing preparations and typing and affixing labels

Resolve issues and/or processingmedications through the automation equipment in accordance with establishedpolicies and procedures

Maintain automation equipment accordingto standards and ensure that it is operating at optimal levels by providingproduct, picks and inventory in a timely manner and as scheduled and work withsupport staff/Omnicare Automation Services to identify machine abnormalities,breakdowns and/or failures

Assist in reviewing each facility’sdrug packaging requirements so drug bagging and boxing is done accurately sodrugs arrive at the point of distribution in a timely manner

Review reports and maintain inventories and suppliesto facilities

Ensure and maintain a safe and clean workenvironment while complying with local, state, and federal laws, regulations,and policies

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:


pharmacy technician or as required by state law.

Successfully complete a background check and drug


Preferred Qualifications:

Prior long term health care experience


Verifiable High School diploma or GED is required.
