Wells Fargo Home Lending is looking to hire a Loan Administration Manager 1 (LAM1) for the Default Mortgage Claims Team. The Loan Administration Manager 1 will lead and oversee the daily activities of the FNMA Claims team members.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Hiring, coaching, developing and supervising non-exempt production, servicing and/or administrative support staff

  • Manage a team of 10-15 Mortgage Claims Analysts

  • Effectively interact and communicate with cross-business units, vendors, investors and insurers

  • Research and compile trends to identify gaps in process; work to resolve issues and minimize losses

  • Revise and implement policies, procedures, and training materials to assure compliance with investors/insurer regulations

  • Utilize investor/insurer guidelines to drive decisions and develop a knowledgeable team

  • Review and update existing procedures and recommend changes to increase timeliness, efficiency and accuracy

  • Ensure all departmental productivity, timeliness and accuracy goals are met monthly/quarterly/annually

  • Develop, coach, and counsel employees, including performance management and salary recommendations

  • Assist in the training of new and existing staff in departmental procedures, and insurer and investor guidelines

  • Create effective processes and controls to mitigate losses

  • Coordinate daily work flow to ensure deadlines are met & workflow issues are minimized

  • Manage multiple priorities, demonstrate flexibility and implement change in a timely and effective manner

  • Identify and analyze opportunities for process improvements both internally and cross functionally that will improve performance and reduce loss exposure

  • Assist with capacity modeling, budgeting and strategic planning processes

  • Ensure compliance with Wells Fargo investor, legal, regulatory and business policies

  • Participate in projects and create processes and goals in-line with key initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: customer service, loan administration, collections, or sales environment

  • 1+ year of team leadership or management experience

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Strong analytical skills including the ability to analyze financial metrics

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization

  • Solid problem solving skills

  • Good attention to detail and accuracy skills
