EY’s Financial Services Risk Management (FSRM) practice is an advisory unit that provides risk management support to banks, insurers and asset managers. Our team includes individuals who have industry, client and product knowledge as well as quantitative, regulatory, project management and technology professionals.

Qualifications:

Requirements

  • FSRM is looking for a junior consultant with a strong academic background in Finance or Engineering (a bachelor’s or master’s degree or equivalent education and/or experience).

  • They will be based in our Montreal office, and must be able to work in French and in English.

  • A first experience in the banking industry and / or in financial modelling is also expected.

Responsibilities

The FSRM Staff will be responsible for engagement execution and delivery under the supervision of the FSRM team; take part to EY educational program to continuously develop skills; as well as developing productive relationships with clients.

Expected skills

  • Strong abilities of data analysis and modelling under Microsoft Excel

  • Good knowledge and comfort with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint

  • Strong communication, presentation and technical writing skills to describe ideas, concepts and issues that involve interpretation, analysis and assessment of complex conceptual topics

  • Self starting attitude, an ability to think out of the box and driven by new challenges

  • Ability to travel on short notice to serve Canadian clients outside Montreal (expected travel is less than 20%)

  • The knowledge of the banking regulatory environment (Basel rules, IFRS 9, OSFI supervision…) would be considered as an asset
