Bank of America Senior QA Tester in Plano, Texas
Key individual contributor to Quality Assurance (QA) project teams within T&O and/or lines of business. Works with project teams to ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed. As a senior member of the technical staff, assists senior business and IT management in determining the direction of current and future developments in area of expertise. Utilizes in-depth knowledge of technological alternatives and business system requirements to recommend innovations that enhance and/or provide a competitive advantage to the organization. Provides feedback and technical guidance to project managers on issues of critical importance to achieving business objectives. Is clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Typically requires 5-7 years of applicable experience.
This candidate will perform both manual/automation QA testing for SOT applications. The candidate will contribute to the organization to accomplish SDM target state goals related to test automation and test data automation. This candidate also help to establish best practices for test automation. The candidate can grow eventually in tech lead role based on performance.
Education: B.S/MS from accredited university
8+ years of hands-on experience in manual/automation testing in a lead capacity
1-3 years of hands-on experience in reviewing requirements and project documentation to understand the application and perform automation feasibility analysis.
2+ years of design and develop re-usable testing productivity components and understand Automation frameworks with UFT/Selenium
4+ years experience of managing all testing related activities
Excellent Communication and articulation skills
Hands-On knowledge in automation development, debugging and problem solving skills.
Experience in version control tools like SVN, Perforce, BitBucket.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Waterfall, agile)
Strong skills in functional UI application testing,
Excellent Knowledge of test management tools (Quality Center, Rally, JIRA)
Ability to assist with offshore / onshore task co-ordination.
Ability to be self-directed to complete assigned activities.
Strong problem solving skills with the ability to analyze and debug issues.
At least 1 – 2 years Pega application testing experience,
Onshore - Offshore coordination activities
