WHAT WILL I BE DOING?
To be part of our success in your role as a Manufacturing Casual Worker (Part-Time), your duties may include but are not limited to:
Complying with customer service and quality standards
Marking materials with identifying information
Assembling customer’s orders on pallets or conveys orders department from conveyor and placing orders to packing station or shipping
Sorting and storing perishable goods scrap in hoppers
Reading production schedules, customer, work and shipping orders to determine items to be packed, gathered and or distributed
Conveying materials and items from production areas to storage or to other designated areas
Sorting and placing materials or items on trays, packages, or in bins according to predetermined sequences such as size, type, style, color, or product code
Opening bales, crates, and other containers to distribute to line
Recording amounts of materials or items received or distributed
Weighing and or counting items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance on company standards
Arranging stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
Compiling worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?
As well as a hunger to learn and succeed in Manufacturing, to be considered for this position you must be able to meet the following requirements:
High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED)
Physically must be able to stand for long hours and be able to lift at or above waist at a maximum of fifty pounds
Flexible work scheduling including mandatory overtime, holidays and change in shifts from week to week
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Effective communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
Highly engaged in improving the business
Previous experience in a food manufacturing setting or a related position
Ability to follow instructions, verbal and written
WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?
The ability to work a full shift including night shifts. Come to work on time. Daily and weekend overtime as needed and the ability to work according to the necessary schedule to meet job requirements with or without reasonable accommodation is an essential function of this position.
