Sodexo , North America's leading provider of contract management services is seeking an General Manager 3 Multi-eXPress for one of the Nation’s Top ranked Hospital Stanford University Medical Center in Palo Alto, CA! The scope of this position includes the oversight of staff and staff development for the unit. Stanford University Medical Center includes the leadership of over 300 employees and nearly 3 million square feet in Stanford, CA; just south of the San Francisco, CA area. This manager will provide direct and indirect oversight for the staff and their development as well as compliance. This position will oversee 5 locations and report to an on-site District Manager. Relocation is not offered at this time.

This position will work primarily on Days , but requires the flexibility to cover other time frames/shifts as needed. This position also has rotating shifts for weekend coverage.

The ideal candidate for this position has recent experience managing a patient transport, PEMS, and SRC program in a hospital, understands the importance of patient satisfaction, is able to evaluate and recommend improvements to help improve patient satisfaction. Responsibilities include: participation in and directing the patient transport, PEMS, and SRC operations, employee rounding and interaction with the patients, their families and the nursing staff, ensuring proper transport procedures & staff training. Must have strong client/employee relationship-building skills and possess the ability to manage direct reports in multiple locations on the campus, handle multiple priorities, quickly grasp situations and logically progress through solutions, the ability to refine systems ensuring sustained effort of achieving standards, and follow through and visibility within the facility. The ideal candidate will also have previous Service Response Center (SRC) management , Patient Transport, and/or EVS experience in a health-care environment; strong management skills for directing daily operations, ensuring program compliance, and controlling costs with project management ability to include a customer focus, the ability to communicate effectively, and a sense of urgency.

Manager will be responsible for:

  • Conducting patient rounding with nurses

  • Identifying process improvement initiatives and overseeing the implementation

  • Ensuring that employees demonstrate an active customer hospitality orientation toward both clients and customers

  • Integrating fully within our client’s organization by becoming a trusted advisor with a customer service focus

  • Driving patient satisfaction results

  • Analyzing patient satisfaction data, financial results, and implementing additional measurements and action plans in these areas to achieve optimal unit performance

  • Completing required departmental reporting, including financial reports and analysis

  • Creating a positive environment and successfully motivating and managing team
