Lockheed Martin Manufacturing Engineer in Palmdale, California

Candidate will work with the core Shop Floor Manager (SFM) and Electronic Work Instructions (EWI) team to maintain, improve, and troubleshoot trouble calls and system trouble tickets for the Aero Manufacturing Execution System (MES) EWI/SFM.

Candidate will work with multiple disciplines including production operations, IT, quality assurance, production control, MRP and planning on issues related to system outages, improvements, administration and enhancements.

Position will require large amounts of testing, troubleshooting and data input to ensure production operations is operational at all times.

Position may require periods of overtime to ensure upgrades and enhancements are deployed to minimize impact to operations.

A thorough understanding of operations is required including production operations, MRP and planning.

Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.

Basic Qualifications Bachelors degree from an accredited college in manufacturing engineering or a related discipline.

Desired skills Demonstrated ability to communicate and work effectively with other team members including Operations, Production Control, Quality Assurance, IT, Planning and Engineering.

Shop floor support experience in a manufacturing environment a plus.

Working knowledge of one or more organizations including: Operations, IT, Planning, Production Control, ERP, MRP, Quality or systems integration.

Strong understanding of software including Oracle, SAP and Microsoft Office a plus.
