Job Summary & Responsibilities


Consumer and Commercial Bank (CCBD) is a new and growing division within the firm. The division's objective is to drive commercial value and revenue generation through supporting newly formed businesses. A Technical lead and team manager is required to help define and drive strategy to guide our commercial banking business lines. This function will facilitate the creative, iterative, and data driven evaluation of the future of the Bank. It will also oversee the day to day delivery and execution of the bank strategy. The ideal candidate will be able to provide vision, strategy, idealization and data to help the leadership team decide and implement on the Bank of the future.

The Bank's technology team is charted to uplift the existing technology stake as well as to drive solutions to the enable new lines of business. The technical team lead will be uniquely positioned to ensure that the division not only exceeds its regulatory and compliance standards, but to propose, design and develop solutions which provide a commercial edge. This individual will partner with the firm on new both building new solutions and on transforming existing solutions into sustainable platforms.

GS Bank has an ongoing multi-year development initiative to implement and enhance regulatory reporting and monitoring for the Bank. The scope includes fixed income, loans and derivative product lines that Goldman Sachs trades in. Some of the technical challenges of the team include building, testing and integration of data flows with numerous upstream systems; ensuring completeness and accuracy of data reported and monitored; automation of current manual processes and the need to be nimble enough to react to new requests and regulatory change.

Basic Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of architecture frameworks

  • Experience migrating between legacy platforms to new systems

  • Experience leading and working in a matrix org

Preferred Qualifications

  • Back or Middle office expertise

  • Experience in US Bank Holding company rules and regulations

  • Experience with pricing, risk and analytics tools and platforms

  • Experience designing, building or supporting following platforms or workflows: corporate lending, equity derivatives, money transfer processes and brokered CDS

  • Technical competence across: CX/ UI and modern webstacks, test engineering, software controls and SDLC, data design and architecture (structured and unstructred)
