CVS Health Sr Tech Pharmacy - Dispensing in Mount Prospect, Illinois

Position Summary:

Exciting opportunity for a Senior Level Pharmacy Technician. Responsibility includes overseeing the daily functions of the Filling and Packing process for prescription orders including the automated packing systems and manual pack functions. Serves as a departmental contact person, answers questions related to work processes and procedures. Trains and monitors work of assigned staff. Assists in developing schedules and coordinating work to ensure that production goals are met. Performs any/all of the Packing Technician duties as necessary



Required Qualifications:

*Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to provide training and support to assigned staff

*Requires leadership abilities to assist in planning, scheduling and ensuring production goals are met

*Knowledge of the equipment, processes, and methods related to prescription order filling, as well as general knowledge of mail services pharmacy operations

*Minimum of one to three year previous experience as a pharmacy technician in a retail or related establishment, demonstrating the qualifications as stated above

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a mail order pharmacy for 3 years.


High School diploma (or equivalent) required. Advanced degree is a plus. Additional training/education (such as Pharmacy Technician certification) is a plus.
