J&J Family of Companies Sr. Distribution Center Leader International Sets in Monument, Colorado

Johnson & Johnson Customer and Logistics Services (CLS) is a Global Supply Chain organization that supports operating units across all the Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies. The Customer and Logistics Services US Distribution team is currently recruiting for a Sr. Distribution Center Leader International Sets, at the DePuy Synthes site in Monument, CO.

CLS strives to deliver an exceptional customer experience through leading critical customer facing-functions such as distribution, customer service, logistics and transportation. In addition, CLS oversees critical business enablers, including how we gather and manage supply chain master data, safe and secure supply chain practices, product identification standards, and market/channel access capabilities. CLS supports all three sectors of Johnson & Johnson: Medical Devices, Pharmaceutical, and Consumer Products. This team is represented in multiple countries, and continues to grow globally in both visibility and responsibility. The CLS team reports to Johnson & Johnson Supply Chain and partners closely with groups throughout the supply chain organization.

The Sr. Distribution Center Leader is Responsible for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day scheduling and processing of orders to fulfill all new launches for Field Equipment sets, Customer set orders, Grant sets orders, Donations, Promotional set orders, International orders and Export shipments with special requirements, Evaluation Set builds, and planning for BP57 Assembly

  • Ensuring compliance with all government agencies and Federal Trade Regulations; including but not limited to, FDA, Census Bureau, Bureau of Industry and Security, and Department of Transportation

  • Supervising and directing all department personnel in order processing and execution of all department duties

  • Facilitating improved coordination of stocking/replenishment, RF Scanning and the distribution of all shipments

  • Maximizing safety awareness and training to minimize loss control

  • Ensuring FDA/GMP, Regulatory and QSR compliance in all aspects of operations and tasks

  • Establishing department goals, objectives, and metrics to support Distribution and Corporate goals and objectives

  • Overseeing the processing of BP20 International shipments, ensuring documentation and shipment accuracy

  • Managing the processing of BP21 export shipments; documentation, inventory, and assist with issues in shipment accuracy from Elmira, Brandywine, and Monument, resolving issues as they occur

  • Ensuring all export documentation is accurate and complete for shipments with special requirements; may include but not limited to SLI, Raw Material Certificates, NAFTA, Certificate of Origin, Licensing Requirements, Perform Invoice, and accuracy of HTS codes

  • Administrator of AES accounts for DePuy Synthes Sales, Inc. and DePuy Synthes Products, LLC, managing user accounts and ensuring compliance with all governmental regulations and guidelines (Census Bureau-AES, Federal Trade Regulations- FTR’s)

  • Working closely with global J&J affiliates, to include but not limited to Canada, Europe, China, Brazil, and Mexico, ensuring purchase orders are entered accurately and resolving any shipping or inventory issues

  • Working closely with manufacturing to resolve any issues with inventory, orders, or shipments

  • Planning, directing and controlling all Warehouse Logistics activities

  • Supervises materials management activities

  • Ensuring material availability, timely distribution and customer satisfaction

  • Establishes and monitors department budget and adherence to cost controls

  • Planning, scheduling and processing of Evaluation Set Builds, ensuring the DHR paperwork is complete and accurate. Support new product launches, meeting launch dates with on schedule delivery of new set builds by working closely with Director of US Supply Chain Management and PD

  • Supporting Systems Software upgrades as Distribution Team Leader to design, develop, train, document and integrate effective operations systems support

  • Designing, developing, training and integrating bar-code Scanning system (including Manifest System) into Order Processing

  • Assisting in the design, development, training and integration of a radio frequency (RF) Scanning System, Locator File and Warehouse Management Modules

  • Ensuring SOPs, Work Instructions and Training Guides are updated on a regular basis within FDA/GMP and Regulatory requirements to support QSR system needs

  • Supervising process of material management of raw materials and warehousing of finished goods through subordinate

  • Completing GCF performance objectives for employees and self, assisting in talent acquisition, ensuring opportunity for performance and development growth

  • Collaborating with other departments in Distribution to evaluate workload for planning purposes and resource sharing

  • Setting standards of performance for assessment, feedback, documentation controls, training/education, clean/conducive environment while promoting positive morale

Qualifications

  • University/Bachelor Degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, or Materials Management required.

  • Minimum of 6 years related experience is required

  • Previous people supervisory and/or management experience is required

  • Logistics Planning and project Management experience should include; space analysis, Material Flow, Layout design experience are preferred

  • US Customs Broker’s License a plus; minimum BIS/AES Certification preferred (Required within 9 month in position)

  • Experience with Census Bureau, US Department of Transportation, US Customs, and Import/Export regulations preferred (Required within 9 month in position)

  • IBM AS400 platform and experience with JD Edwards software or equivalent is required

  • Experience in problem solving on multiple priority issues, in a fast paced environment, while maintaining a high level of accuracy

  • Experience managing a multiple function department is required

  • Proficient in Microsoft office to include; Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint is required

  • Experience in FDA/GMP and regulatory requirements to support QSR and ISO9001 regulations is required

  • Ability to provide vision and focus on future system process design and re-engineering of processes

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

  • May require up to 10% travel, domestic and international
