    Humana is seeking a Technology Applications Consultant that will develop an understanding of Humana’s Medicare Risk Adjustment (MRA) business needs and translate those needs into technological systems, design specifications and solutions. You will partner with other associates to analyze, design, develop, implement and integrate moderate and complex business systems that will optimize business outcomes.

    In this role you will combine multiple technologies in a dynamic and growing environment. In this position you will be challenged by highly sophisticated requirements that will required innovative solutions. We are dealing with multiple data sources that are manipulated in a complex way to make sure the optimum output is achieved.

    • Provide development and operations expertise for MRA Risk-Scoring and Gap Identification/Closure capabilities

    • Build a scalable, secure and dynamic portal for the information delivery of risk-scores, gaps, and gap closures

    • Partner with business areas within Humana to understand requirements and develop specifications for developers

    • Work with complex requirements, data logic and the latest technologies

    • Develop new logic to calculate more accurate Risk score

    • Find new ways that the conspicuous data can be found easily

    • Develop more automated and efficient process

    • Find the right combination and synergy between the IBM Mainframe technology and the Oracle technology

    Role Essentials

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience

    • Prior programming experience with IBM Mainframe and Oracle SQL development work

    • Experience in the areas of software development and support

    • Development experience using COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM ,DB2, SQL

    • Comprehensive understanding of SDLC and agile principles and design patterns


    • Prior experience with reporting tools, version control DevOps tools

    • Prior experience with Data Analytics desired

    Reporting Relationship

    You will report to a Technology Manager. This area is under the leadership of the SVP & Chief Information Officer.
