The Cybersecurity organization’s objective is to ensure that JPMC is able to effectively detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats against our technology infrastructure. The scope of Cybersecurity comprises detection and monitoring of threats and vulnerabilities, managing security incidents, and evolving our preventive infrastructure to keep ahead of the threat. We accomplish this through strong information security leadership and active collaboration with line of business information risk managers to provide high quality security solutions and services that are focused on improving the Firm's risk posture.

The Role…

Continual enhancement of the confidentiality, integrity and availability of data and systems through a robust information security agenda is a key strategic objective of JP Morgan Chase and of the Corporate and Investment Banking division. An array of information security initiatives are planned over the next 3 years, ranging from risk controls framework enhancement to Information and cybersecurity to identity & access management. Strong information security project management capability is required to support this objective.

Job Description

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for working within one of the highest growth areas within JP Morgan. He or she will lead the BISO Governance team in Jersey City and work closely with the other BISO functions.

  • The Information Security Governance VP will support the development and ongoing assessment of information security across JP Morgan. The role supports both technology and the business in providing end to end security to ensure first class security capabilities.

  • The role will cover a broad spectrum of information security risk management responsibilities focusing on client and regulatory engagements.

  • The ideal candidate must be able to demonstrate a sound understanding of information risk governance, risk reporting and has experience in financial services and/or consulting. He or she must feel comfortable discussing cybersecurity with our clients and will have strong knowledge of the regulatory landscape.

The role will be reporting to the CIB BISO Governance Lead and will be based in Jersey City.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the BISO Governance Jersey City team supporting the growth of more junior team members

  • Manage risk reporting to internal and external stakeholders for CIB BISO

  • Plan and implement education and awareness campaigns to technical and business audiences within the CIB

  • Further enhance client facing services, such as industry threat briefings and advisory sessions, to support growth of CIB’s client relationships and positioning JP Morgan as a leader in cybersecurity.

  • •Respond quickly to the changing regulatory landscape, demands and regulatory reporting

  • Provide SME knowledge of cybersecurity regulations to the rest of the Governance team and the broader CIB

  • Manage relationships and information sharing with members of the global cybersecurity governance team as well as other Lines of Business

Key Skills/Qualifications

  • Information security certifications (such as CISSP, CISM, CSSLP, CEH/CPT or related certifications) would be desirable.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Very strong data analysis, both quantitative and qualitative

  • Proficient with Microsoft Project, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Practical working knowledge of SharePoint site setup and administration beneficial

  • Good reasoning and logic, problem solving skills

  • Exposure to financial services systems and processes preferably in Investment Banking or from Consultancy

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity regulations, laws and standards

  • Experience in working with diverse cross geography teams

  • Self motivated individual, comfortable working without close supervision and with ability to work to deadlines.

  • Team player with proven ability to build strong cross-business relationships

  • Exposure to information security principles and relevant standards including Access Management, Change Management, Security Incidents and Business Continuity Management.

  • Exposure to information security vulnerability concepts, issues and mitigation methods.

  • Experience in a similar risk management or information security governance role.

  • Experience of technology projects and/or the CIB business a plus.

  • A graduate degree or equivalent experience (in computer science, information systems management, business administration or related field) is preferred.
