Seeking Qualified Candidates with Nutrition and Food Service Director Background!
Sodexo is seeking a senior level General Manager (IV) / Dining Services Director to join our Senior Living team at Vista Grande Villa located in Jackson, Michigan. Position reports directly to the District Manager and is responsible for day to day oversight of all operations for the Senior Living food service at this Fiver Star Dining Service account. The ideal candidate will have Sr. Living/Hospital experience.
We are looking for candidate who will:
Interface closely and daily with residents, client executive level leadership and client board members.
Manage a budget of $2.5 Million annually
Leads daily operations related to: 5 star dinning, customer service, quality, costs controls.
Manages and leads 3 management level employees and around 30 Sodexo hourly employees.
Responsible for driving resident satisfaction through strong employee engagement and quality of service.
Works to achieve company and client financial targets and goals for multiple budget areas.
Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards.
Meets (or exceeding) Sodexo standards of operations.
Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages team.
The ideal Candidate:
Has the ability to build strong relationships and integrate successfully into a faith based client culture;
Has a work history demonstrating strong leadership skills and preferably knowledge and experience in a senior living environment or contract food service management experience;
Has previous experience in managing around $3 million in financial volume;
Has excellent computer skills and report management experience;
Has strong financial acumen and the ability to demonstrate detailed operational analysis and manage budgets;
Exceptional human resource and leadership management skillset;
Professional verbal and written communication skills;
A passion for a high level customer service;
Strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts; and
Strong financial acumen and ability to make business decisions based upon thorough analytical analysis is important.

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Basic Management Experience - 3 years
Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
