The Credit/Margin Department provides operational support for all channels (including introducing firms) to internal and external asset movements, extensions of credit, and monitoring customer accounts to ensure compliance with various regulations and firm policies. This includes monitoring cash account transactions to ensure the client meets all obligations with regards to settlement, and taking appropriate action when required. Additionally, Credit Margin provides primary support for the Priority Credit Line product and assists clients in exercising stock options issued by publicly-traded companies.

The Credit/Margin Business Support Consultant I will provide reporting and issue resolution through change control management, analytics and recommendation services to Credit/Margin leaders, internal organizational partners and senior leaders.

The Credit/Margin Business Support Consultant will be responsible for the following critical business functions:

  • Partnering with the Business Liaison Consultant and leading the development of business requirements, test plans and related communications.

  • Working within project teams representing the Credit/Margin Group where change control support is required.

  • Creating and distributing metrics/department dashboards to management, key contributors and other business groups.

  • Leading remediation efforts; developing requirements and communications for department leaders and managers.

  • Engaging and partnering with upstream and downstream business partners to resolve production problems.

  • Submitting and presenting system enhancements in addition to coordinating and actively participating in user acceptance testing efforts.

  • Leading projects and initiatives; organizing meetings, evaluating and analyzing data to provide efficiency recommendations.

The Business Support Consultant will take on an active role on moderate to complex projects and support Credit Margin leadership with research, analysis, escalations, and issue resolution; acting as a representative for Credit/Margin group on projects and other initiatives as a Subject Matter Expert. Duties of the Business Support Consultant will be tactical and strategic in nature and will require partnering with teammates, other subject matter experts, department and process managers, and other leaders within the organization. The Business Support Consultant will partner on projects requiring coordination, and/or contribute to task forces or project teams. In addition to projects, the position will also be responsible for reviewing processes and creating process flows, and summarizing and recommending improvement opportunities. The selected candidate will research and troubleshoot business and system issues and makes recommendations to maximize operational efficiency, quality and compliance. The Business Support Consultant will work effectively under limited supervision to analyze and solve operational, systems-related and/or customer issues. The Business Support Consultant may maintain databases and management reports, interpreting data and identifying trends for managers. Duties may also include managing vendor relationships, defining user requirements and performing user acceptance testing. The Business Support Consultant will assist in defining and supporting the implementation of policies, procedures and training materials to assure compliance with government regulations and to maximize efficiency and customer service.

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: administrative support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

  • 2+ years of testing or quality assurance experience

  • 2+ years of experience capturing and documenting complex business and functional requirements

  • 2+ years of project implementation experience

Desired Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of brokerage industry experience

  • Ability to create dynamic client-ready investment related PowerPoint presentations including: charts and graphs

  • Ability to facilitate team meetings or present information to an audience

  • Ability to identify and present enhancements to meet business objectives

  • Ability to identify and present processes/operational enhancements

  • Ability to organize and present analysis in a holistic manner for management decisions

  • Ability to prepare and present senior level communications

  • Ability to present technical concepts to senior leaders

  • Ability to present to decision makers in a professional and confident manner

  • Ability to research and report on a variety of issues using problem solving skills

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills

  • Business analysis exposure; preferably within a Wells Fargo operational group

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • 1+ year of MS SQL server experience
