The Contract Maintenance Manager ( Director 3, Facilities Operations) will manage hard facilities and maintenance operations with an annual managed volume greater than 10 million dollars and more than 2.4 million square feet of clinical space.

The successful candidate will possess demonstrated prior experience in leading and managing facilities services in a military hospital environment, leading a team and delegating responsibility, strength in communication, follow up and process management.

  • Knowledge of all applicable industry specific regulatory standards and governing agencies, e.g., NFPA, EPA, TJC, OSHA codes & standards


  • ASHE CHFM certification required, licensed Engineer (PE, EE, EE)

  • At least 5 years’ experience in Facilities Management healthcare bedded-inpatient facility O&M incl. supervision of diverse workforce for 24/7 operation, maintenance & repair of medical facility systems is required.

  • Working experience with NFPA, EPA, TJC, OSHA codes & standards

  • 5 years in TJC compliance— maintenance & documentation incl. DMLSS work requests & supporting testing/ certification/ verification (in-house/ subcontract) documentation, EOC & LS

  • Technically qualified in healthcare FM

  • Communication in English

Mechanical or Electrical Engineering background is highly desirable.

Position Summary

The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for directing facilities maintenance operations of building(s) and property at a single unit. The Director of Facilities Operations manages the preventative maintenance and reactive repair of skilled trades, e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, utilities; and manages the hiring, training and supervision of staff, professionals and management. The Director of Facilities Operations manages a safe and efficient working environment, essential to the performance of the business. The Director may oversee construction work and often manages other core Sodexo services, and/or logistics of business/operations services, e.g., grounds keeping, laundry, food, security, inventory, mail, concierge services.
