Lockheed Martin Aeronautical Engineer Associate in Fort Worth, Texas
Researches, plans, designs and develops mechanical products and systems. Applies research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and structural assemblies. Participate in issue resolution, develop solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure. Develop, review and maintain engineering drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes, and technical analyses necessary to support interceptor development and manufacturing activities.
Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or Materials Engineering from an accredited college/university. Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Desired skills Candidate should have an understanding and ability to apply basic Mechanical Engineering principles, theories and concepts. Solid math and science background. Missile/aerospace related education/exposure. Knowledge of Mechanical Design principles including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T); Fluency in Mechanical modeling and analysis tools, such as I-DEAS, Pro-E, Uni-graphics, Autocad or similar tools. Fundamental understanding of structures and materials.
