POSITION SUMMARY

This position will have direct accountability to design and execute on the aligned Joint Venture (JV) marketing strategy. The strategic marketer will lead an evolving marketing strategy with the JV leadership team (internal & external) to adapt marketing plans & campaigns to current market conditions. Champions the strategy to position the JV as a market leader/innovator, building awareness and greater brand equity

Fundamental Components:

Be the strategic marketer that works exclusively with the JV CEO to define the strategy and ensure execution utilizing internal marketing resources

Identifies and executes on opportunities to drive new thinking, documenting the value proposition and content to innovate and work efficiently with marketing through new or enhanced programs and tactics designed to achieve market growth.

Build multi-channel acquisition and engagement programs, e.g., above the line and digital advertising, live events, personalized member communications, etc.

Aggregates local market and competitor insights, white-space opportunities, health marketing priorities, and multi-cultural opportunities as input to define local marketing strategy.

Establishes framework, designs, and builds strategic, local marketing plans through in-depth use of data and analytics, competitive analysis, local market insights and product knowledge.

Proactively anticipates and adjusts for business and/or regulatory issues in marketing planning, based on an in-depth understanding of the local environment

Design and execute the local market, marketing plans to achieve JV membership goals for all Aetna business segments and operating plans.

BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE desired:

10+ years strategic marketing: e.g., develop audience segmentations, core value propositions, messaging strategy for different segments, direct creative teams, measure impact and efficacy of marketing investments, etc.Experience and ability to grasp the fundamentals of a line of business and translate it to effective market activation, direct creative teams, measure impact, Digital savvy:

EDUCATION

The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
