The Advisory service line in EY is focused on providing high-value, independent, trusted advice to our clients, with a focus on business transformation programmes that deliver sustained performance improvement.
Our Customer team is part of Performance Improvement within Advisory and helps the world's leading organisations attract, retain and grow profitable customer relationships. Examples of the business challenges we help our clients with include:
Customer Strategy and Experience: Segmentation, customer strategy and proposition development, pricing, channel strategy, customer journey improvement
Customer Operations and Technology: Service effectiveness, sales effectiveness, marketing effectiveness, channel management, people and operating model, information and insight, partnering ecosystems, process improvement
Customer Implementation: Initiative identification and roadmaps, supplier selection, CRM programme management
Some projects require deep analytical capability, structured and innovative problem-solving to generate insight from the numbers and formulate high impact recommendations. Others, the tenacity and relationship management skills to facilitate diverse groups of stakeholders through challenging change journeys. Most need a combination of both. All, though, require the ability to work side-by-side with our clients to create long-lasting value for the organisation.
Through client project work and alongside it, you will actively establish, maintain and strengthen relationships both with clients and within EY to identify and support business development opportunities. Under the guidance of more senior staff you will articulate the value of our services to new and existing clients and contribute to new business development.

We are currently looking at hiring multiple experienced hires within our team at Senior Consultant and Manager Level. Your role as part of a team on engagements will depend on the size of engagement and will be under the guidance of more senior staff. They will look to you to anticipate and identify risks and escalate issues as appropriate. As an influential member of the team, you'll help to create a positive learning culture and will coach junior team members and help them to develop. There will be opportunity for international travel, and you will be encouraged to develop a global perspective across emerging and developed markets.
Successful applicants will be able to demonstrate:
Strong professional track record with Customer domain related experience
Immediate experience working in a member of the Big 4
Experience of being part of teams delivering challenging projects
Strong analytical capability
High degree of commercial acumen
Evidence of strong client handling skills
Ability to influence and persuade clients and stakeholder to gain support for major changes and key decisions
Experience in business process management and design
Experience working with Telecoms clients
Participate in client-facing Customer engagements, with ownership of deliverables and smaller workstreams
Assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements by organising staffing, tracking fees and communicating issues to project leaders
Provide support to business development initiatives
Build strong internal relationships within Advisory and across other services
Develop people through effectively supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff (typically Consultant-grade staff). Conduct performance reviews and contribute to staff performance feedback. Contribute to people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training Advisory professionals
Maintain an educational program to continually develop personal skills
Understand and follow workplace policies and procedures
