Hilton Assistant Finance Manager in Dubai, United Arab Emirates

An Assistant Finance Manager willensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, andcreditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to theFinance department.

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Finance Manager, youwill ensure the accuracy of stocks, accounts payable, prepayments, andcreditor/accruals accounting records and provide periodic reports to the ExecutiveOffice. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the followingtasks to the highest standards:

  • Support the shared service center and General Manager by providing full and accurate forecasting and budgeting proposals within the hotel and in other areas where required
  • Provide timely and accurate financial statements
  • Ensure all financial regulations are met, through the maintenance of adequate systems of internal control
  • Prepare capital reviews as required by the General Manager and/or shared service center
  • Train and develop Finance Team Members and ensure succession plans are in place
  • Develop financial awareness for the management team
  • Maintain the financial health of the organization
  • Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities
  • Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met
  • Liaise with auditors both internal and external to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained
  • Correspond with various other departments, discussing company plans and agreeing on future paths to be taken
  • Coordinate with the Shared Service Centre team for all accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll related matters
  • Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations and follow the correct procedures when required

  • Experience in Accounts / Finance within the hotel or leisure sector
  • Excellent managerial experience
  • Relevant degree, in Finance, Accounting or related business discipline, from an academic institution
  • Full understanding of financial operating systems and procedures
  • Strong influencing, leadership skills, inter-personal and communication skills
  • Excellent analytical skills

    It would be advantageous in thisposition for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Previous experience with the PeopleSoft system

  • Previous experience in the Account/Finance Management
