As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the primary liaison between the IT and business end-users; work with the business to analyze business requirements and review/produce documented and approved specifications for any new/change to technology applications; work with the Quality Assurance Team and Development Team to ensure that they understand the specifications to deliver a quality product to the business; work with the training team to document system scenarios, identify roles impacted, and help develop a change management/training plan; and conduct business process modeling and generate applicable scenarios for the technology functionality testing team.
You will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and documenting business requirements; recommending business priorities, and advising the business on options, risks, and costs; conduct extensive research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and ensure that solutions are feasible considering stringent timelines. You will analyze the impact of proposed solutions holistically, develop use cases to explain/demonstrate business requirements/specifications to IT team, and contribute a business or process perspective during design reviews. You will be responsible for delivering various project related artefacts throughout the Software Development Lifecycle. You will assist the Quality Management Team to ensure that documented requirements and corresponding use cases / process flows can be easily translated into test plans and test cases, and ensure that the testing process covers all identified scenarios and use cases. You will triage defects and bugs related to assigned projects in a timely manner considering project timelines. You will facilitate implementation of new functionality into production and help triage any issues
Strategizes with the business for the optimization of system processes; Identify efficiencies and ways to improve BAU design and system flow
Analyzes business requirements to understand the business needs and to determine how systems and applications can best functionally fulfill those needs
Combines knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the systems are built and used to create a functional design and write user stories for a given application
Serve as the primary liaison between the Business, Architecture, Development and Testing teams throughout the project life cycle
Identifies, assesses, and documents business requirements, recommending business priorities, and advising business on options, risks, and costs
Schedule and lead requirements /JAD sessions with stakeholders; gather testable system requirements and translate them into use cases in Functional Specification Documents and user stories
Conducts in-depth research to determine if solutions to business requirements currently exist within or outside the business unit, and if not, whether new effective solutions are feasible
Analyzes impact of proposed solution across the business and develops use cases to demonstrate the business requirements to the IT (Information Technology) Team and Quality Assurance Team
Work closely with the Integration System Test team to ensure all identified scenarios are properly tested and defects are resolved and a quality end user product is delivered

Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of IT and analytical work experience (Masters and 7+ years experience for Lead BA)
Minimum 5+ years of experience in understanding business modeling concepts and business application development preferred
Minimum 5+ months of programming experience (including academic, internship, co-ops, work study programs or independent research projects) preferred
Must have excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
Must have the ability easily assimilate information and learn new applications and processes
Must have experience in Waterfall / Agile SDLC
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools like MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint
Advanced knowledge of process flow charting tools like Visio
Experience with worksheets /data sets, writing VLOOKUP formulas, manipulating data with PivotTables, and presenting results using power point presentations a must
Must have a solid ability to analyze complex system requirements and present findings to both internal and external stakeholders in a simple and comprehensible manner
Must have excellent writing skills, with solid experience in writing functional and technical specification documents and detailed user stories
Must have a good understanding of the defect management and resolution process using defect management tools like HP ALM
Must have an excellent ability to multi-task effectively working on several projects synchronously
Prior knowledge / experience using JIRA and Blueprint is a plus
Advanced knowledge in Agile SDLC is a plus
Prior experience in Enterprise Imaging and Scanning Systems like Captiva / IBM FileNet / Content Management On Demand is a definite plus
Prior experience in financial / banking institutions and knowledge of various financial business processes is a plus
Strong hands-on knowledge of various ERP business applications, business processes, and system processes
Knowledge of document management processes and tools is a plus
