This position is for a College Direct Placement (CDP) Hardware Engineer that supports the Global Positioning System (GPS) GPS Control Segment (GCS) program in Colorado Springs. Selected candidate duties will involve providing hardware engineering efforts supporting the Global Positioning System (GPS) sustainment team in Colorado Springs, CO. Candidate must have the ability to perform analysis of existing GPS systems/hardware architectures, propose technical refresh solutions for legacy systems and identify and provide required interface control documentation updates. The hardware engineering duties will also include maintaining the GPS requirements and technical order baseline and developing/updating baseline documentation/diagrams. Candidate must have the ability to work in a team-oriented setting to achieve goals and objectives in a fast paced schedule driven environment. The candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively, and provide status during project status meetings. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Interim Secret Clearance is required prior to starting employment.

Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in science and technology related programs such as Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, Aerospace Engineering, etc. This position requires special access to support the program and requires the selected candidate to be a US Citizen

Desired skills Electronic or electrical engineering education and/or experience RF, waveform, antenna pattern, data mod/demod,etc understanding or strong desire to learn Mechanical aptitude Comm or networking knowledge Matlab Computer/electronic system diagnosis and repair
