The mission of the Global Security Operations Group, within Operations and IT Services, is to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of S&P Global Market Intelligence’s information technology resources and data by safeguarding them from compromise, misuse, loss or damage caused intentionally or unintentionally.
To protect the Company’s Networks, Assets, Revenue and Corporate Image by continuing to find and address vulnerabilities in networked computers and systems and thereby improving our overall security baseline.
To detect misuse of, or attacks against, the company's networks and respond to and minimize the impact of these security incidents.
To provide assistance to operational teams to correct deficiencies in system configurations.
To provide a single point of contact for operational security issues including audits within S&P Global Market Intelligence
The SPGMI Information Security team steps into every single day knowing that they have the opportunity to work with a wide-range of technologies, use their expertise resolving diverse issues, and initiate creative updates. Supporting a global company keeps IT Services hustling, but this team eagerly takes on new projects and resolves critical, work-stopping issues. This fundamental team is looking for a Security Administrator who will continue to embody SPGMI’s real passion for extraordinary support.
Implement processes to identify and mitigate information risks.
Be a member of the Security Incident Response Team and participate in troubleshooting efforts on all IT security related problems.
Provide consultation on any internal investigation that may require forensic analysis.
Assess system and network vulnerabilities and work with responsible groups to address them.
Respond to audit findings.
- Review, analyze and monitor security system reports and logs for suspicious activities, trends and patterns. This includes but is not limited to web filters, firewalls, encryption systems, anti-malware systems, IDS - IPS.
Evaluate and recommend commercial security vendors and products.
- Some travel and off hours - weekend work as required
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience with ISO27001, NIST 800,
Demonstrated knowledge and experience with various network protocols (TCP - IP)
Intrusion Detection - Prevention Systems
Web filtering, Log correlation, SIEM solutions, firewalls, penetration testing tools
Operating systems (Linux and Windows – Server and desktop)
IdM systems (Active Directory, LDAP) and vulnerabilities and network management tools.
