Bank of America Quantitative Finance Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina
Act as data and Capital regulation subject matter expert (SME) for the Wholesale traditional credit oroducts workstream. Product knowledge required includes Commercial Bank Loans, Leases, Letters of Credit, Cash and Due From.
Perform monthly production data validation and support activities for both monthly Capital reporting and Capital modeling teams and conduct data incident research, remediation and testing activities
Enable project coordination and execution activities to support Capital and Enterprise initiatives including status reporting and PMO routines
Represent workstream in all Regulatory, Audit and Compliance inquiries
Deliver complete and high quality data and control processes to support capital calculations, reporting, and downstream functions for the workstream
Drives operational excellence acting as first level of escalation for any issues or roadblocks that are being encountered and ultimately accountable to the Data Management Executive to ensure workstream is meeting expectations
Responsible to ensure all work that is required to support the workstream will be executed and enables the execution of the team’s strategic direction
Customer/Client driven acting as single point of contact internally and externally to provide updates, status, information and support for inquiries or work required supporting the workstream.
Responsible for administrative management of all team members regarding performance and development plans, reviews, HR required actions, compliance and other required management duties and ensures organizational alignment within the workstream
Enterprise Role Overview
Manages a group of staff responsible for developing and evaluating quantitative analytics/modeling for specific business units or types of transactions. Directs activity of staff in their area in providing support to the business unit and to other business units within Bank of America. Actively involved in the analytics effort, but spends significant amount of time managing staff and coordinating projects. Acts as a senior level resource or resident expert on particular analytic/quantitative modeling techniques. Provides guidance to staff on areas of expertise.
Responsible for independently conducting quantitative analytics and modeling projects. Responsible for developing new models, analytic processes or systems approaches. Creates documentation for all activities and works with Technology staff in design of any system to run models developed. Incumbents possess excellent quantitative/analytic skills and a broad knowledge of financial markets and products.
Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 7 years of experience:Be able to demonstrate full expertise in:
Wholesale Basel III Key Business Elements for Standardize and Advanced methodologies for Capital
Management of Senior and Junior Business Analysts
Commercial Banking products, structures and the Lines of Businesses that manage these exposures and Clients
Understanding the underlying data and data structures of these exposures and clients
Proficient at data mining against Hadoop, Teradata and Netezza data bases to perform data analysis
Communication skills with all levels of management
7 - 10 years of relevant experience in a management function
Desired Skills and Experience:
Bank Credit Policies on Commercial Credit underwriting and Clent Management.
Bank's General Ledger system including ability to reconcile reporting data to the GL.
Bank's Customer Relationship Management systems
Bank's Customer Risk Rating Processes
Working knowledge of Bank of America’s data portals and systems of record
Working knowledge of SAS, Python, Tableau, and UNIX
Proficiency with Agile project management deliverables
This role can be filled as a Quantitative Finance Manager or Quantitative Financial Analyst
