Bank of America Enterprise Data Incident Management Senior Consultant in Charlotte, North Carolina

Job Description:

The Sr Metric and Reporting Consultant position within the Enterprise Data Incident Management (eDIM) function is responsible for defining and managing key data incident metrics that contribute to the overall measurement of business data domain health.

Data incidents are logged and managed in the eDIM tool. eDIM enables the bank to centrally track, raise awareness, escalate, and drive remediation of incidents that impact data. Enterprise Data Incident Management processes and capabilities are essential to Front Line Unit / Control Function adherence to Enterprise Data Management standards. These standards establish the data management good practices FLU/CFs are to follow to help ensure data completeness, accuracy and timeliness. Data incident reporting provides needed awareness and escalation across the enterprise.

This position is a member of the data incident reporting team that aggregates eDIM data for analysis and presentation to senior executives. eDIM reporting peers with technical capabilities, aggregate data incident information from the eDIM tool into categories based upon the metric definitions. In addition to defining how incident information is to be aggregated and reported, the consultant will prepare key executive messaging summarizing key points for executive review.

  • Regulatory reporting, risk, compliance, or audit background helpful to evaluate risk and remediation

  • Metric definition and management in context of use for dashboard heatmap reporting

  • Data lineage and Control environment evaluation

  • Prioritization, action planning, and risk acceptance justification

Associates in the Service Delivery function are responsible for Relationship Management / Account Management of a client / business area in all information technology activities. The role requires one to be a proactive and strategic business partner in an IT environment striving to meet current and anticipated business objectives. The relationship manager serves as a single point of contact for the client and must be capable of managing initiative-based portfolios in a multi-matrixed environment. They are also the escalation point for unresolved problems, complaints and complex service requests. Key skill sets include the ability to execute a portfolio using consulting skills and conflict resolution, proactively drive innovative business solutions, and use technical, enterprise, and business knowledge to work across structures to meet customer needs.
