Bank of America Corporate Treasury Finance – Product Control in Charlotte, North Carolina
The Long-term debt product control team is responsible for daily capture, validation and controls for the Enterprise long-term debt footprint. This positionwill support theTreasury trading desk as part of new issuance and ongoing liability management. Responsibilities will also include working with business partners to enhance data and controls around the long-term debt footprint to meet management, financial and regulatory reporting requirements.
The ideal candidate will be highly analytical, a strong self-starter, be very comfortable working independently and taking initiative, maintain close attention to detail, be fundamentally inquisitive and want to understand the reasons behind a process, be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, and capable of handling multiple high-profile priorities within tight deadlines. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to build strong working relationships with the Trading Desk, Finance, Technology and other business partners.
Enterprise Role Overview
Responsible for balance sheet, general ledger and/or product controls specific to a defined area or defined process. Understands the market and the market drivers of the product they are supporting. Understands more complex structured transactions and the operational risks around the end to end product lifecycle. Implements improvements to the system infrastructure and control environment. Provides general team guidance on complex transactions. May provide input to recruiting and hiring and performance management processes. BA preferred or substantially equivalent experience. Typically 5-7 years of applicable experience..
Required Skills and Experience:
Degree required in Business, Accounting or Finance
3-5 years’ experience working with financial products (Securities, Derivatives, etc.)
Broad and general understanding of trade attributes and life cycle events.
Demonstrate experience in or around the product control environment.
Must have ability to apply strategic thinking to multiple complex organizational and business issues, ability to translate in to practical plans for execution.
Ability to drive to closure, reputation for execution.
Strong risk assessment, negotiation and problem resolution skills.
Strong ability working with Excel (work with large volume of data and data manipulation)
Proficient with MS Office products.
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Knowledge of macros, VBA, SQL.
