  • Enterprise Program and Project Management Office (EPMO)*

This opportunity is part of the newly formed Enterprise Program and Project Management Office (EPMO). The EPMO was established by the Enterprise Project Transformation (EPMT) effort that was launched earlier this year to enhance the ownership, organizational structure, standardization, and oversight of project management functions across the company. Significant change in how Wells Fargo governs, organizes, manages and executes projects is vital, not only to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our projects, but also to reduce our operational risk.

  • Key Job Responsibilities*

This role will report to the Enterprise PM Effectiveness Leader and will be primarily responsible for assisting the LOBs or Functions in the development of their Target Operating Models:

* * Business strategy* includes the business context (true north), mission and purpose, strategic objectives and priorities, and performance measures.

* * Organizational design and structure* includes workflow and functional alignment of work, partner and customer interface and expectations, guiding principles to define the new structure, work tasks and roles, org design alternative selection (blended, LOB, hybrid, etc.), leadership (levels and span), understanding decision making, influencers, and overlaying structures (i.e. virtual teams or matrix structures).

* * Systems, policies, processes* include prioritization, funding model, governance, role clarity and handoffs, people practices, how information is shared and processed.

* * Rewards* include understanding how people are motivated to engage, commit and implement and if the measure of performance supports the model.

* * Leadership and talent* includes expectations, skills and capabilities required, talent strategy, development, etc. (skill, will, knowledge to support the work).

  • Once the Target Operating Models are complete* , this role will shift to:

  • Building the infrastructure for the Community of Practice – advisor level and broader community.

  • Identify and implementing Best Practices as well as identifying additional ideas to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of PMs.

  • Continuous Improvement of the PM discipline at Wells Fargo.

  • Creating Newsletters and developing communications as needed to the PM Community about changes in any aspect of the PM discipline (e.g. policy, methodology, tools, training, etc.)

  • Strategic Planning and recommendations for EPMO Evolution.

  • Locations: Charlotte, NC;* Phoenix, AZ, Minneapolis, MN; Des Moines, IA; San Antonio, TX; St. Louis, MO (flexible in specific areas of the Wells Fargo footprint in similar geographies)

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ year of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning in financial services

Desired Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree or higher

  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership

  • Program and project management skills

  • Communications experience

  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment

  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong strategic planning skills

  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

  • Ability to present results of analyses and recommendations to senior leaders
