The Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) Finance and Business Management (F&BM) group provides financial advice to support the CIB’s business strategy and helps to ensure a sound control environment. Within F&BM, the four major areas of responsibility are: Business-aligned BMs (Business Managers), the CIB Controller, Support Staff CFO, and Planning and Analysis.

Background:

The Corporate and Investment Bank Chief Administrative Office Finance & Business Management’s goals are to ensure a sound control environment and provide financial advice to support the business strategy for technology and operations. This team is looking for an Associate to support the support and change delivery of the CIB CAO F&BM Systems and Tools team.

Position Description:

  • Work across 2 platforms: ExtraSheetand OPTiC

  • Create executive levelpresentations for working groups and steering committees

  • Establish strongworking relationships with team members and across the different lines of businessesand functions our team supports (e.g., CIB F&BM, CIB Tech, CIBOperations, etc.)

  • Write requirements with workinggroups and have the ability to break the requirements into Agile userstories

  • Project manage the onboarding ofnew teams onto the OPTiC platform

  • Understand Agile and deliverenhancements using the agile methodology

  • Manage timelines; risks, issues,dependencies, action items tracking

  • Will be responsible for writingtest script and run testing workstreams

  • Consistently demonstrates sound judgment in knowing when andwhat to escalate and to whom. Anticipate, identify and remediate risksbefore they become issues.

  • Identify opportunities for process and tool improvements anddrive those from concept to implementation

  • Work with supporting tools likeJIRA, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint

The ideal candidate will possess a “can do” attitude, be detail oriented, and have a strong aptitude for analysing large, complex data sets to deliver high quality reporting in a fast paced, results driven environment. The candidate should have an interest in both technology and the financial industry.

Additional qualifications:

  • College educated with a minimumof 3-4 years of experience supporting software application, deliveringtraining

  • Excellent working knowledge of MSExcel (pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.), PowerPoint and SharePoint

  • Ability to manage agile board inJira

  • Great attention to detail andability to work independently/be self-motivated

  • Proven track record of quality analysis with soundquestioning and influencing skills

  • Excellent multitasking andprioritizing skills

  • Strong analytical, datamanagement and problem solving skills

  • Experience in identifying andimplementing process improvements

  • Confident communicator at alllevels and ability to articulate complex issues concisely

  • Strong interpersonal andrelationship building skills

  • Ability to thrive in a changingwork environment

  • Ability to execute tasks underaggressive targets and effectively manage changes in plan
