IBM Manager, Accessibility Enablement and Center of Competency in AUSTIN, Texas

The Accessibility Research organization is seeking a first line manager to lead the Accessibility Enablement and Center of Competency. The responsibilities of the team include developing accessibility strategy for new technology and platforms, leading standards and policy of Accessibility, creating techniques for implementing Accessibility in IBM products and services, providing Accessibility implementation training to all IBM business units, automating subject matter experts support by developing cognitive tools that can answer questions from business units.The candidate is required to have regular discussions with senior executives from different IBM business unites to understand their strategic portfolio and accessibility needs from both compliance and differentiation perspectives. As a manager, the candidate is responsible to build and grow the technical skills of a distributed team.Broad experience in software development and engineering is a must have. Knowledge in Accessibility is required. Proven communication and management skills are essential. The candidate must have a minimum of BS in Computer Science or related field, a higher degree is preferred. Knowledge and experience in cognitive computing and analytics are a plus.

  • At least 2 years experience in Accessibility Enablement

  • 2 or more years of Management skills

  • Proven communication skills in both written and verbal
